Nanotechnology Center in collaboration with the Department of
Production Engineering and metallurgy organizes training course on
laboratory quality system according to the standard ISO-17025
Proceeding from the principle of joint scientific cooperation
between the Departments and Centers of the university, Department of
Production Engineering and metals organized a training course for
professors and employees of nanotechnology Center delivered by Asst.
Prof. Dr. Abdul Khaliq Fawzi Hamoud / quality manager in the
Department of Production Engineering and metallurgy for the period
5-9 /3/2017 and under the title (the basic concepts in quality
system and laboratory accreditation according to specification. ISO-
17025).
Dr. Abdul Khaliq Fawzi said that the training program stems from the
high interest from the University of Technology in the promotion of
laboratory quality concepts and improve the educational process and
the accuracy of measurements and analyses conducted by the
university laboratories. On the other hand, Dr. Khalid Ajami/center's
director praised on the training program and the efforts of Dr.
Abdul Khaliq, where he was the program of job training programs for
workers in the laboratory for the development of laboratory work. He
said that such training programs are an advanced step towards
obtaining reliable laboratory quality. He added that Nanotechnology
Center went a long way in the application of the standard
(ISO-17025) in all laboratories.
It should be noted that this standard includes in its program the
administrative requirements that concerned in documentation and
organization of the laboratories, and technology requirements which
bother to calibrate devices and the accuracy of sampling and
checking them.
