The Nanotechnology Research Center at the University of Technology holds a training course on the proper conditions for storage of chemicals in cooperation with the Department of Applied Sciences

 

Under the supervision of the  Committee of Chemical Control at University of Technology, the Nanotechnology and Advanced Materials Research Center, in cooperation with the Chemistry Branch of the Applied Sciences Department, organized a specialized training course for officials of chemical store and laboratories  entitled "Safety and Security Storage in Chemical Warehouses" on Thursday, May 25, 2017 in the presence of the Director of the Nanotechnology Center, Asst. Prof. Dr. Khalid A. Sukkar, Dr. Hassan Rashid Abis, Rapporteur of the branch of Applied Chemistry and a number of trainees and associates in the Departments and Research Centers.

The course dealt with intensive lectures by Prof. Dr. Mahmoud Mahdi Barbouti and Dr. Khalidah Farhan Suhail of the Chemistry Branch in the Department of Applied Sciences. The Director of the Center said that the importance of this session comes in order to delivere the latest information in the field of storage of chemical materials in warehouses and laboratories, as well as proper handling and security with these materials and the adoption of proper conditions in storage in order to maintain the health of workers and researchers. In conclusion, certificates of participation were distributed to the lecturers and the trainees at the course.
