  About the Branch:
The branch of Applied Mathematics was established in 1987. It is different from other mathematics departments in other universities in the applied nature of its subjects which give the students the ability to transform a problem in life into a mathematics model then learn the ways of solving this model by using the computers .The students also learn some computer’s languages in order to be able to solve a mathematical problem and get the results shortly.

The teaching staff makes great efforts to clarify the importance of mathematics and its uses in the area of life. The main aim of the division is to create specialists to work in the institutions in the field of education and computers.

The graduates acquire the mathematical knowledge which matches what is commonly between the universities of the world and also become well informed in the use of mathematics in finding problems and solve them.
