The Printing Section was
established in 2003 to solve problems of using the usual printing
methods, in addition to drop the attention of universities, institutions
and research centres to the role Computer Centre using the availed
equipments and softwares in printing and text editing as well.
These techniques has
been assisting in preparing draft copies of different general,
scientific and curriculum books, articles and researches with proper
required shape and format, and then to be sent or broadcasted to the
printing office to be finalized and printed out. It becomes easy for the
University and its Central Library and Researches Centre to produce and
print out any required books, researches, reports and reports related to
events of the university like conference and symposiums. This reflects
the real scientific, educational and informational activities and
environment of the university, using the available experience and
material in printing. In another word; the current printing services
reflects combination of computer and printing technologies.
Services Provided by the
Printing Section

- Using new information
technology, devices and printing equipments and develop new
communication means through broadcasting the final format of
ready-to-print texts via available communication channels and networks
using different writing languages, also to keep developing the printing
methods to be applicable with the rapid developement technology in order
to apply the needs of the Section beneficiaries.

Using these new developed
technologies and techniques in the Printing Section aims to control the
information more, and to enhance the quality of services which will
affect the employees of the Section and their work on one hand, and the
Sections’ beneficiaries among students, researchers and visitors on the
other hand.

- Providing high quality in
the printed documents and materials required by universities, institutes
and researches centres. Especially that after developing the current
printing devices, softwares and methods, the section becomes as equal as
the most professional other printing offices.

- Saving the required cost,
efforts and time to prepare the final version of the document by
amending and updating the usual process and steps required for printing-
out the final version of a book or a material, including preparation
steps, editing, shaping and other relevant steps and the required human
resources as well.

- Providing developed and low
cost devices and software for students, researchers and other visitors.
This will encourage the Section’s beneficiaries to use available
techniques and technologies in addition to providing required training
sessions for skilled workers in using these printing techniques and
technologies.

- Connect computers to the
suitable information network and to occupy a location on the network to
provide assistance for the scientific researches. This enables the
network in providing the suitable services.

Develop printing skills and
experience of workers and operators in using devices, software with the
required control methods to enhance their performance and skills related
to printing and machinery and network maintenance.
