The
Center of Continuous Education was established at the end of the
seventies, and it had made great efforts in the organization and
plans programming for the preparation and training of employees
in various institutions of the state. The philosophy and
objectives of continuous education are derived from the main
objectives of the foundation of the University of Technology in
1975. This university was preemptor and distinct in this aspect.
The center of continuous education has witnessed a remarkable
growth in the number of courses and seminars carried out by the
Center for Continuous Education in the engineering and
scientific disciplines and other general and precise
specializations that are related to the need of labor market. It
is worth mentioning that the increase in these activities are
not limited to the number of courses carried out by the center,
but also the biggest focus was on the scientific and practical
level of these activities. From this basis and within this trend
, the efforts have intensified in putting the plans and programs
at the beginning of each academic year for the activities
carried out by the center in collaboration with the scientific
departments at the university and in collaboration with external
lecturers who are specialists and experts in various fields.The center was consistently abided from the date of its
establishment on the preparation of the scientific and training
programs for workers in the directorates , institutions and
various state companies and it is used to prepare a
comprehensive annual programs for the development and
rehabilitation of engineers and technical staff in various labor
sectors in various specializations to improve the levels of
performance and for the purposes of promotions . The University
of Technology has become a leader and a pioneer in introducing
distinguished services among Iraqi universities. |
