Chemical Engineering Department holds a course for chemical safety and security
Within the first part of the cultural season, chemical engineering
department at the University of Technology ended the Course (chemical
Safety and Security) for the period 23-26 / 11/2014 on Khwarizmi hall in
the department in the presence of University of Technology president
Prof. Dr. Amin Douai Thamer and head of the Department of Chemical
Engineering Prof. Dr. Jassim Mohammed Thamer and Associate scientific
Department Prof. Qusay Fadel and a number of professors and employees of
the department.
the first day included giving two lectures, the first was (security
precautions and safety in the chemical laboratory) delivered by prof.
Mohammed Ibrahim Mohammed and the second was(chemical aspects of
security) delivered by prof. Riaz Mohammed Sadiq, the second day
included also two lectures, the first was (the principles and concepts
of the laboratory design) delivered by prof. najat Juma Saleh and the
second was (trading hazardous and toxic and radioactive materials
security), while the third day included two lectures, the first was
(on-site recycling and waste treatment) by the President of the Chemical
Engineering Department, Prof. Dr. Thamer Al Jassim Mohammed and the
second was (security Storage of materials chemical) delivered by Louay
Mohammad Sadiq from the Ministry of Environment, the fourth and last
included a lecture on the (emergency response and fire protection)
delivered by Bashir Ahmad Abdul-Hussein, then certificates of
appreciation to the participants were given by the president of the
university.
