Speech by His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Hussain al-Shahristani

 At the occasion of the 39th gradation Session "peace and development cycle for University of Technology students
In the name of Allah, the Merciful , the paiionate
Praise be to Allah and peace and blessings be upon the Messenger of Allah and his family and allies
I am pleased to share with you this distinguished day in the life of our dear students
I decided to personally share the concert graduation, and recalled that I attended at this university in the first year of its founding, I am happy after about 40 years that I find this university has developed this great development and become one of the prestigious Iraqi universities referred to Mendez as it is waging a sea of flag its borders in the front, happy that I find the introduction of some of these colleges, the latest in human technology.

Iraq, the cradle of civilizations should be in the forefront of countries that uses the modern and advanced technology to rebuild what was destroyed by the terrorists and tyrants, this people has the right to look forward to this young talents, to those builders of the future of Iraq no matter how terrorists tried to disrupt the wheel of development and evolution, security, harmony and peace among Iraqis, they will receive response of these faces insisting on receiving the science, and insisting to take battle of the construction, building all the best of which was destroyed, this is our hope in you and I am confident that you will build Iraq developed, flourishing, safe despite the efforts of your enemies.
God bless you for your efforts in the years of the study, I know that the study conditions were not in your university and the rest of the Iraqi universities the best due to the security situation, the weakness of the services in the country and other many reasons, but you persisted, succeeded and graduated, you and your families are entitled to rejoice in this great achievement, but despite that you succeeded in an important stage of your life and you are granted the certificate of graduation from this honored prestigious university in areas of important majors, but knowledge does not stop at this point, but you have to keep up to seek knowledge in the areas of your technological major, science evolves not year after year, but day after day, you should neither be cut from your university nor the possible sources that are available in this university and in the Other universities, as well as through the World Wide networks to get to know the latest developments and the latest inventions and discoveries and everyday additions to human knowledge .. So should you.

The Country is badly in need to these terms of reference because the Battle of construction, which may be more important than the war on terror requires your skills of these majors in particular, so I'm pleased to hear from the university president that the university communicates with students to find suitable for their competence jobs, this is a nice and needed. these competencies that are specialized in these branches of knowledge needed by its country should not malfunction, they must be attracted immediately in their areas of competence whether in government departments or in other areas and therefore keep pace with the university recruitment process and job creation is very important, and I thank the university on this endeavor and I hope that all universities follow suit to find job opportunities for graduates.

The other thing that I like to refer to is that the Iraqi people has invested its potential to provide the opportunity to learn for you, which you invested in right way through your excellence and graduation, however, future generations has the right we and you are subject to just like the right you also had to generations before you. You must employ these energies by providing posts and learning opportunities for generations coming from the Iraqis, you were excellent in an ancient university and the right of others to benefit from these experiences, do not be stingy with what you have learned from others in any field whether you go to universities as lecturers and professors in the future or to the work fields in any field, you have to convey this knowledge to the rest of the community and that you will be the machine that leads the process of cognitive change and social, cultural and civilizational and technical development for the Iraqis. We Should not be satisfied with what we learn and get a degree proud and find a business opportunity to build our personal lives that is required and important, but it should not be the end of the day, you have to be the changing tool, development tool, the rising tool, a tool that makes Iraq in the ranks of developed nations in the world as it was Throughout its history, the cradle of creativity and science and learning, culture and civilization, so it should be Iraq.
I hope and trust that you will do this role, I thank on your behalf your professors starting with the university president to deans to all the teachers for their efforts available to teach you, and thank you for your diligence when you come to . I wish you and your families a bright happy future for prosperous safe Iraq where its people live in love and peace.
