Paper from Mechanical Engineering Department

 Dr. Mukhdam Tarek Jehjan & Mr. Kahleel Ibrahem Abbass are two professors in Mechanical Engineering Department at University of Technology. They published a paper together titled “Improved thermal storage in Tromp wall using variable- phase material “in International Journal for developed research in science, Engineering, and Technology which is issued in India and considered one of the sophisticated journal with an impact factor of 1.918. This paper talks about scientific study which has been built a Tromp wall from local simple materials that is available with afforded prices. Adding to the wall Wax Albrafina as a variable phase to increase thermal storage of the wall. Experiments have been done during Baghdad winter in-between 2014-2015. Study showed that it is possible to use this wall by researchers to warm Iraqis houses during winter.
