The department of quality and performance
guarantee in the University of Technology holds a seminar in the Hall of
control systems engineering department with the presence of President of
the University Prof. Amin Douai Thamer, heads of departments and their
assistants, heads of branches and officials of quality assurance in the
engineering and scientific departments, about the obstacles that faced
in writing self-evaluation reports for academic programs according to
the Accreditation Council programs for engineering and technology
standards.
The workshop was opened by the Director of the Department of quality and
performance guarantee PHD. Madhe Monshed Shalal with a lecture about the
most important problems and obstacles facing the implementation of
standards (ABET).the President of the University stressed on completing
the self-study report for academic programs (branches) in the
University’s sections for the academic year 2014/2015 in accordance with
the current ABET standards. Discussion was opened with the lecturers and
the audience in which he addressed several important issues that
enriched the seminar. In the end of the discussion,
vice-president for Academic Affairs PHD.Wisam Kazem Hamdan stressed the
need to make recommendations specify the time period to display the
selfassessment report, and the need to adopt all the notes the
discussions in the seminar and should be included in the draft
recommendations that will come out to facilitate the implementation of
these standards. |
