Building and Construction Engineering Department at University of Technology gives master to the student Sara Mohammad Omar in the specialist of Construction Engineering about her thesis tagged “an Experimental Study of circular pillars concrete active powders”.
In this research, it has been studied the effect of the active powder in shear concrete pillars and effect of the presence and the absence of steel fibers and change the types, as well as change the accidental armament "hoops and spiral," and spacing between them. And 15 of pillars changeable armament longitudinal and transverse, one of them for the comparison purposes, and the other to the concrete effective powders, but with a steel fiber length "12-ml and 30-ml" and it compared between them in terms of the difference in the steel fibers, non-existence, and armament longitudinal and transverse "hoops type and spiral" and its impact on the resistance.
And the researcher showed that she took tests for resistance and distortions and it was the failure loaded of the concrete pillars of active powders with steel fibers greater than that which the steel fiber ratio is zero rate in rate of "2.1 to 6.1" for the type of steel fiber length of 30 ml and 12-ml respectively. as well as to the iron longitudinal rate plus reduces ductility of the pillars and increases resistance in rate 12% -25% depending on the type and quantity of lateral armament and type of steel fiber, where the increase in the resistance biggest by using a spiral arm and steel fibers of 12 ml length. And pillars affordability that made from concrete of active powder, lateral spiral arming the bigger than it to the state of arming hoops around 1.25- 1.35.
