A thesis in Building and Construction Engineering Department at University of Technology searching fracture behavior of self-concrete compaction and armed with fiber hybridfor the student Anmar Saadi Thahir.
The study represented aresearch of laboratory work and typical analysis by limited items of using "ANSYS" program of fracture andcracking behavior of armed concrete withhybridand self-compaction fibers. And it is used in the laboratory work metal fibers and Polipropenefibers.
The laboratory results showed when adding fiber to the self-compaction concrete causing a weakness in its soft properties and lined only mixtures that containratios of 0.75, 1.0% iron fiber, and 0.10, 0.15% Polipropene fiber with the requirements of self-compacted concrete. And the using of iron fiber is improved its quality in increasing resistance to its counterpart which isPolipropene fiber. Adding fiber leads to improve the properties of the fractured concrete, and in economic terms, it is preferred to use such a system
And it is noted that a good agreement between the practical results of the examination and the results of the analysis by using the software "ANSYS" It has been studying the effect of sample size, proportion of fiber added, the depth and width of the slit. It has been observed that increasing the fiber proportion leads to increase the maximum load and the maximum load decreases with increasing theslit depth. While it isn’t noticed any effect of slit width.
