Nanotechnology and Advanced
Materials Research Center at the University of Technology organized a
training course entitled (nanotechnology applications in the
isomerization units at oil refineries) with the participation of
trainees from Midland Refineries Company.
The program included identify the most important modern scientific
concepts related to the nanotechnology applications of oil and gas
projects, work and design isomerization for the production of fuel
gasoline with High (PFOA) number, and the types of catalysts used in the
isomerization processes.
Assist.Prof.Dr. Khalid Suker Ajami the director of the center delivered
a set of scientific, theoretical and practical lectures over the course
days, which continued for two weeks. It is worth mentioning that the
Midland Refineries Company has introduced light naphtha of isomerization
unit in order to get the fuel with of high PFOA number and
environmentally clean and it will be run for the first time at the end
of 2016 to product the improved fuel gasoline. At the end of the
workshop it has been distributed participation certificates to the
trainees in the program. |
