A teacher from Construction Engineering Department gain a patent for the production of stacked concrete rolling without external finishing
Assist.Lec. Zeiad Majeed said that the rolling stacked concrete is a types that used in the creation of dams, roads and squares of goods and materials with large areas in ports and car parks storage and military equipment storage because of their physical properties and the low cost production in comparing with conventional methods used with paving.
He noted that one of the main reasons for the difficulty of producing such concrete is the need for large areas that have been paved with this concrete. The second reason is the lack of water amount used in the production of concrete (A requirements). The third is the increase of evaporation of water mixture when exposed to high temperature of the atmosphere as well as the wind. The fourth reason is the length of time needed of finishing as well as the weakness of finishing process due to lack of control required in work location on the working hands that slackens with finishing which thus makes concrete susceptible to damage.
The idea of invention includes the production of concrete stacked with rolling does not need external finishing with water to get rid of the biggest obstacles of production and that through using the material of Porcelain (a lightweight moraine, inexpensive and it is extract locally in Iraq) and by specific rate and identify moisture. The importance of this process is summed with: production a concrete with better physical properties than stacked concrete with rolling (without Porcelain which will be permanently riped with water) and suitable for harsh environmental conditions. As well as the canceling ripening with water from the work schedule and there will be extra reducing of the cost of concrete production and thus the total cost of the project. And reduce water amounts using in concrete finishing.
