The University of Technology is discussing with the Ministry of Oil the use of nano to reduce the fire
Nanotechnology and Advanced Materials Research Center at the University of Technology searched with a scientific team from the Safety Section of fires at Oil Products Distribution Company at the Ministry of Oil to apply nanotechnology in the field of safety and the reduction of fires in oil sites.
The center director assist.Prof.Dr. Khalid Ajami Suker said that the work priorities in petroleum locations is to provide safety and security requirements and the most important of it is the nature of the materials used in construction of these buildings. Therefore, the center seeks through this collaboration by using nanomaterials and materials resistant of fires in petroleum locations and stations belonging to Oil Products Distribution Company to reduce accidents and reduce fire damage to a minimum and maintain the infrastructure of these sites.
