The University of Technology signe a scientific memorandum of understanding with Air Force leadership

The University of Technology and the Air Force leadership signed a scientific memorandum of understanding on Tuesday December 27 2016 in University Council Hall, the memorandum signed by the President of the University Prof. Dr. Amin Douai Thamir, and the Air Force leadership Lt. Gen. Pilot Anwar Hama Amin attended by several heads of engineering departments at the university and some of the air force officers leadership as well.
The memorandum aimed to promote mutual cooperation between the two parties in the scientific side to serve mutual interests and concerns of both.
The scientific assistant of the president of the university Prof. Dr. Alaa Abdul Hassan Atiya said that the memorandum of understanding included cooperation to accept the first ten graduate students of engineering specialist, branches of, "mechanics, aircraft, electricity, Electronic, navigation and guidance" who wanting to volunteer as an engineer officer on air force leadership staffing, and allocate seats of MBA in jurisdiction of "mechanics, electricity" as a first stage between the R & D department in the Ministry of Higher Education and scientific research and the air force. Cooperation between the two sides to conduct joint research to ensure the exchange of scientific and practical experiences and provide technical advice, and the involvement of employees of the Air Force command cycles continuing education process as well as organizing technical courses to upgrade the technical skills of the employees of Air Engineering Directorate.
He noted that the memo also included taking advantage of the scientific potential of the University in the field of laser science applications, and the use of cadres' faculty to deliver lecturs in general engineering disciplines, and make way for the University of Technology students to hold summer training requirements in the Air Force leadership.
