- Prof. Dr. Wahid Shati Mohammed / University of technology (UOT) (supervisor)
The researcher found that the recent years heat pipe technology become commonly used in removing heat applications as well as in the heating systems, ventilation and air cooling, especially to increase the efficiency of removal of moisture and cooling capacity of the cooling profile in countries of warm and tropical climates.
It has been conducted a practical study of the air conditioning system with adding heat exchanger of heated pipe type Thermosyphon, as well as it has been designed numerical modeling to simulate the flow of a biphasic singular Thermosyphon. It has been tested two types of heat exchangers of heated pipes: one of them of flat tube from the inside and the other with grooved tubes both of them contain Fluid work by charging up to 60% of evaporator size. The evaporator and condenser section is equal to the length of 300 ml with adiabatic section of 100 ml length. Both heated exchangers composed of 48 to thermal heat pipe arranged beam winding provider also fins in the form of thin sheets of aluminum and each heat pipe outside diameter 12 ml leftist. It has been designed and manufactured the heated exchanger and the device laboratory at Brunel / London-University in the United Kingdom.
Laboratory device has been prepared to study several different experiments of heated exchanger performance of heated pipe with or without conditioning system laboratory. Where it was the first part of the experiments has been conducted for the study of the thermal performance of thermal exchangers through change many factors which are they convection and mass flow rate of air inside the evaporator section.
