Ali, which showed that it had in this study analyzed the efficiency and
productivity in hospitals through three perspectives: the first is the
analysis of the envelope data. " DEA " which is the most used the
technique on a large scale for measuring efficiency were used to measure
the relative efficiency of hospitals, depending on the form" CCR ", and
the second production index, and the third is the simulation using Arena
was used to measure efficiency in hospitals by building a model on an
outpatient department of the hospital, which is based on the use of
resources "doctors" in the department effectively and provide service to
realize the seriousness of the patient's satisfaction.
She said that she took a sample of the three hospitals' top children's hospital, Fatima Zahra Hospital, Ibn Al- balady hospital "in the study area in the province of Baghdad, to test the effect of input and output on the efficiency and productivity through the implementation on four case studies are based on the change in the variables," inputs and outputs " three inputs: The number of "doctors, nurses, health personnel" and five outputs are the number of "outpatient visits, laboratory tests, ultrasound tests, radiology tests and visits of emergency."
The results showed the use of the method of data envelope "DEA" The analysis of the top children's hospital remain efficient in all the case studies used, while other hospitals are changing their efficiency by changing the school situation.
The results showed in the case of using the productivity Indicator that a way that there is a clear decline in the efficiency of Fatimah Zahra Hospital, while does not have any change in efficiency in the top children's hospital. Either through the use of simulation method Arena it turned out that the utilization ratio of doctors in hospitals are selected utilize up to 100%, and this may cause a decline in performance as a result of stress that affect the patient's diagnosis and thus giving treatment can be imprecise.
