Students of engineering control in a scientific visit to the second gas Southern Baghdad station

The Department of Control Engineering and Systems organized a scientific visit to the second southern gas station of Baghdad for the students of the third stage of the Engineering Department of control on Tuesday 9/5/2017 with the participation of 29 students under the supervision of Prof.dr. Arif Abdul Rahman Al Qassar and engineer Fatima Abdul Rasool and Sawsan Fadel and Ali Abdul Sahib (from the media ).
The visit included giving a valuable and comprehensive theoretical lecture by a specialized engineering staff about the station and its affiliated units and the principle of the work of the gas turbine and associated control systems. The students toured one of the units of the station and identified the parts and the principle of work and how to generate electricity. The visit also covered a number of systems and how to control the plant and its units.
The director of the station, Eng. Hazem Rassam Ghadhban Al-Saadi, welcomed the students and the supervising staff and encouraged the scientific visits. He stressed the importance of communication and scientific and practical cooperation with all educational institutions.
For his part, the scientific visit, Dr.araff Al-Qassar all the management of the second gas station south of Baghdad and its affiliates for their efforts to provide all the needs and provide all the facilities for the success of this visit in addition to the detailed and detailed explanation of the station. This visit has generally resulted in expanding the scientific and cognitive horizons of the students and introducing them to the latest developments, especially the control systems and the important role of the control engineer in the work sites in general and the power plants and oil extraction machines in particular.
