The Environmental Research Center organizes a workshop on the hydrolysis of hydrocarbons by microorganisms

The Environmental Research Center at the University of Technology has organized a panel discussion at which the assist. lecturer Zahra Zahrao Farhan has delivered a lecture about the hydrolysis of hydrocarbons by microorganisms on the blue hall on Wednesday 31/5/2017.

The researcher has pointed to the oil pollution, which is one of the most dangerous types of pollution on environmental systems, as there are many research conducted to eliminate environmental pollutants caused by the continuous accidents of oil tankers and oil pipelines. More recently, microorganisms have been used to get rid of oil contaminants.
Bacteria are one of the best microorganisms in biodegradation because of their ability to exploit the carbon compounds in oil as their source of energy and they have a great ability to adapt to the medium in which they live through their enzymatic system.
