Technology takes first place in the Victory Festival for the first documentary film

The University of Technology won the first place prize at the Victory Festival for the first documentary film on the liberation of the city of Mosul from the gangs of the terrorist Dahesh(Isis) for the documentary (The will of a people)( aradat shueab), which was set up by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research on Thursday July 27, 2017 at the College of Physical Education at Baghdad University In the presence of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Professor Dr. Abdul Razzaq Al-Issa and academic and cultural figures and with the support of the College of Al-Ma'mun.
"Iraq is not isolated from the countries and peoples of the world, Has a cultural and civilizational presence not owned by other countries," said Minister of Higher Education Dr. Abdul Razzaq al-Issa in a speech during the festival, which carried the slogan "With the blood of our martyrs blossoming the future" Which was achieved by the security forces and the popular mobilization against the terrorist gangs.
Al-Issa added that the ministry will take upon itself the task of building the human and re-producing the values that broke down the dark era of Daheshi(Isis) by organizing festivals and forums that are concerned with preparing these human values for the Iraqi individual and contributing to enhancing his prestige in society.
He added that the ministry is keen to be Iraqi universities present in the post-liberation and various cultural and artistic activities and activities, stressing that the victory that was achieved in Mosul was the result of efforts and sacrifices co-produced by all the Iraqi people institutions of the state.
The ceremony concluded with the presentation of documentary films that embodied the nature of life in the city of Mosul before and after liberation, as well as honoring a group of media professionals who participated in documenting the battles of liberating the city.
The Minister of Higher Education distributed the prizes to the winning universities during the documentary film festival. The University of Technology received the first prize for the documentary film "'iradat shaeb"The will of the people which was received by Media and Public Relations Director Dr. Mahmoud Obaid Mohammed who supervised the film. Achieved by our security forces and the army and the popular crowd in the battle to liberate Mosul.
Dr. Mahmoud Obaid said that the minister praised the efforts made by the filmmakers and described them as a great achievement under these circumstances, and blessed the University of Technology for the first place.
Babil University won the second prize for the documentary (partial eclipse)( khsuf juzyiy) while Sumer University won the third prize for the documentary (Diary of a displaced student)(ywamiaat talab nazh).
