The University of Technology establishes a scientific symposium about” laser modern applications

The president of the University of Technology Prof. Dr. Amin Daway Thamir attends the scientific seminar of Department of Laser Engineering and Electronic Optics in the University, entitled “lasers modern applications in the field of Engineering, medical and environmental” on Thursday 20/9/2012 on the University stage, which presented by many directors of the departments and centers
The seminar starts by reading a state of Koran then the National Anthem. The director of laser Engineering and Electronic Optics Prof. Dr. Mohammed Salah Mahdi says a speech about the seminar, after that the symposium takes place which includes two sessions, the first one headed by Prof. Dr. Ali Mutashr Al- Zuhairi divided in to four lectures specialized in Laser Engineering and Electronic Optics applications, the first lecture entitled “laser applications in oil industry” lectured by Prof. Dr. Waleed Kalaf Hamoody from applied sciences, the second entitled “ plasma induced by laser and it’s applications in Nano- material in addition to Nano-lasers” lectured by Prof. Dr. Fareed Faris Rsheed from Laser Engineering and Electronic Optics . The third “The prospects in Laser materials treatment” lectured by Prof. Assit. Dr. Ziyad Ayad Taha From Laser institute for studies. The fourth lecture entitled “Optical computers” the Researcher Dr. Majid Abdul Satar from laser engineering Department.
The second session that headed by Prof. Dr. Ihsan Fathallah Rustam included four lectures specialized in medical field and laser short wave which support Modern equipment of high-tech, the first lecture belongs to the researcher Prof. Assit. Dr. Kathum Abid Hpetr from Department of Laser Engineering and Electronic Optics . The second lecture “ laser applications in Dentistry” the researcher Prof. Assit. Dr. Balsam Mardan from Laser institute for studies. The third lecture “Using the technique of phosphorylation analysis” the researcher Ahmed Faraj Salah from Radiation protection center in the ministry of Environment, the last lecture “Laser applications in environmental techniques ” Researcher Rana Riad Khaleel from Environmental Research Center.
At the end of the symposium, the president of the University of Technology distributes gifts to the participant researchers.
