On response to the invitation by the Central Organization for Standardization and Quality Control / Laboratory, Accreditation Section in according to the letter No. 3504 dated 11/5/2017, members of the Accreditation Committee at ERC attended the session entitled "Validation of test methods" From 9 am to 5 pm for the period from 21 to 23 May 2017 at Baghdad Hotel. The course was organized by UNESCO expert Dr. Mohamed El Sayed. The course included the following topics:

1.     The concept of validation methods and verification methods according to ISO / IEC 17025 standard for Section 5-4.

2.     When we can work for validation? When the methods used in the laboratory are not standard or standard method, but developed or modified in the laboratory and when developing a new method of examination in order to ensure the accuracy of the results.

3.     Give practical examples of how to calculate items (5-4) (5-2) (5-3) which is (validation parameter).

4.     The emphasis on Quality Control QC and how to calculate it because any student lab for accreditation must be carried out and have an integrated plan for the QC account. 

Recommendations

After the quality manual for the ERC has been completed and the administrative and technical requirements have been met, the technical requirements in the tests of accreditation must be started by conducting all the calculations and using the technical experts on how to perform them correctly. And a training course for accreditation laboratories to apply quality control, verification and validation of results.
