Ravef Gomaa Salman, from the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Technology, received her master's degree for her thesis (Effect of thermal energy of the microwave furnace on mechanical properties and the age of the calibrator for the aluminum alloy 7075-T73) with a very good grade.
The study concerned the effect of the heat energy of the microwave furnace on the mechanical properties and age of the alloy of the 7075-T73 aluminum alloy, which was studied under service load, and the application of the thermal energy of the microwave oven used to heat the materials. The most recent applications are highlighted in the field of processing materials through microwave ovens, Allow the use of them as unusual treatment methods. Previous researchers have reported that sintering of many ceramic materials is good absorption of microwave radiation and the expansion of applications of microwave ovens to metal powders and composite materials.
The current work is based on the thermal energy effect of the microwave on the aluminum alloy used. The 7075-T73 aluminum alloy was treated in a microwave oven using different media: dry, sun flower oil, salt solution and acid medium for two periods (30 and 60 minutes).
The discussion committee consisted of Prof. Dr. Ahmed Nayef Ibrahim as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Mdna Hamzah Saadoun and prof.DR.Iqbal Mohammed Saeed Saleh of the Faculty of Materials Engineering University of Babylon members of the Board of Sadiq Jafar Aziz and lect.assis.Ahmed Adnan Abdul Jabbar Supervisors are from the Technological University.
