The student Mohammed Riyad Abdul Hussein from the Construction and Building  Engineering Department at the University of Technology received a master's degree for his research entitled:

"Using Artificial Intelligence to Predict Concrete Properties of Concrete"

"USING OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENT TECHNIQUE TO PREDICT THE PROPERTIES OF SELF - CONSOLUTING CONCRETE"

The researcher studied fourteen concrete mixtures with and without polypropylene fibers and with certain percentages.

The results showed that it is possible to produce a self-sustainable concrete by substituting a high quantity of cement with F-type fly ash and cement kiln dust where the filling values ranged from 668-752 mm while the spreading time ranged from (2-5) seconds. Ranges from (2-6.3) mm for the height difference and (0-25) mm for the two teams and the isolation resistance values for all the mixtures were less than 10%. This is an indication of the good smooth properties of the concrete produced.

The reference mix showed better performance than the rest of the mixtures, while the binary mix was better than the rest of the mixtures containing one substrate.

The discussion committee was joined by Prof. Mohammed Musleh Salman as president and membership of Prof. Wael Ismail Khalil and Prof. Firas Khairy Jaber and Prof. Hassan Hamoudi Johnny prof. Bassel Salah Mahdi as a Members and Prof. Shaker Ahmed Saleh & Prof. Fayek Mohammed Sarhan supervisors.
