Production and Metals Engineering Department granted PHD to the student Riyad Gamikh  Thani for his thesis (Effectiveness of Supply Chain on Performance Measurement(.

The research dealt with three problems. The first is to determine the level of safety stock of finished products using dynamic fuzzy logic, which dynamically captures the level of inventory and will help the enterprises to reset the level of ss in a flexible manner, since the daily change of the variable parameters gives greater flexibility of the system through the ability of the system to identify the best level of safety inventory to deal with the variables that occur in this day The second problem is the decision to improve the products finally the third problem is to evaluate the performance of the supply chain also by using the foggy logic which is applied twice and It represents the first time in determining the performance index of all the parameters that affect the performance by using the first conclusion Almillbh base (FIR1).

The discussion committee was chaired by Prof.Dr.Emad  Merzah and the membership of Asst.Prof.Dr.Ahmed AbdulRasol from UOB, Asst.Prof.Dr.Mahmood Abbas, Asst.Prof.Dr.Luma Adnan and Asst.Prof.Dr.Maha AbdulKareem .
