University of Technology Celebrate 34 Anniversary

The University of Technology celebrated its forty-fourth anniversary on Wednesday, April 17, 2019, in the presence of the President of the University of Technology, Prof.Dr.Amin Douai, the members of parliament Raad Al-Makassousi, member of the Education Committee and the Amjad Al-Aqabi, member of the Energy and Electricity Committee, Prof.Dr. Alaa Abdul-Hassan, heads of scientific and engineering departments, research and scientific centers, university staff and students.

The central ceremony began with the national anthem and then reading the Holly Quraan by the student Muntazir Saeed and reading Al-Fatiha in honor of the martyrs of Iraq and the educational march.The President of the University said in a speech: The presidency of the University has always set a day to celebrate the outstanding performance of its scientific and engineering departments and centers, in addition to its staff members of the faculty.He recalled the scientific achievements achieved over the current academic year at various levels, most notably the University's achievement of the first place in the national classification of the quality of Iraqi universities in institutional performance,In addition to the University's progress for the first time in its history to achieve the best ranking in the world rankings of universities, according to the site (Webometrics) Spain occupied the rank 2767 globally, and the University has made great strides in the administrative side, especially in the electronic supervision system, and electronic management system, Only the efforts of faculty members and university employees and students to raise the name of the university high.He pointed out that the University has proved its excellence in the implementation of programs launched by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and has been able to go a long way in the government program, especially in international rankings, achieving a prestigious ranking among international universities to achieve four goals of sustainable development in the classification of the British Times in the world series And the University is continuing to enter all the important international classifications such as RUR, QS, and Shanghai.
He also stressed the need to intensify the work to implement the curriculum for the first phase in the next academic year 2019-2020 in all departments of engineering and scientific in the university and seek to provide all the necessary requirements to implement the system in line with the government program of higher education to improve the quality of education and higher. The university president honored the members of parliament Raad Al-Maksousi and Amjad Al-Aqabi with the university's shield and then honored the first three scientific and engineering departments in evaluating the performance according to the national classification criteria.
