Science and Technology Iranian Journal publishe scientific research
The Iranian Journal of Science and Technology, which is within the Thomson Reuters classification and has the impact factor of 0.732 published a scientific research for Lect.Dr. Mohamed Jawad Mohammed from Electromechanical Engineering Department at the University of Technology entitled:Open Loop Active Control Technique on Segmented Marine Riser Vibration Using Electromechanical ActuatorThe research included a practical study of the method of control with an open loop for oil extraction pipe in marine installations where an electromechanical motor consisting of a DC motor was designed to rotate rods in two locations, one beside the oil pipe and the other in front and back. The results indicated that the vibration in the oil pipe was reduced to 69% if the engine was placed next to the pipe and 65% if the engine was placed in front of and behind the pipe.
