Undersecretary of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research for Administrative Affairs Dr. Mohamed Abdel-Attia Al-Sarraj inspected the final exams in the Engineering and Scientific Departments at the University of Technology with the President of the University of Technology Prof. Amin Douai Thamir and the deputy  Administrative Affairs Dr.Prof. Sami Abu Al-Nun Ajil Dr.Prof. Alaa Abdul Hassan Attieh on Monday, May 28, 2018.

He visited the halls of the final exams in the engineering departments "Building  and Construction, Materials, Electromechanical, Production and Mineralogy , Control and Systems department , as well as the Department of Computer Science". He also visited the main committee supervising the exams at the University of Technology, which consists of holders of the degree campaign.

The administrative agent praised the efforts made at the university by creating the appropriate environment for the performance of the exams from the halls of air-conditioning and other necessary necessities in light of the commitment to the controls and instructions set by the Ministry of Higher Education, as well as compliance with instructions, especially the presence of supervisors and all scientific titles in the matter of supervision and supervision of examinations Or their presence in the halls.

He reviewed the nature of the questions in more than one hall and the different stages and disciplines and their comprehensiveness of the course material. He blessed the efforts of the university president, administrative assistants, scientists and deans in working to provide the various supplies, wishing all students success and success.

The Water Desalination Research Unit in the Construction and Building Engineering Department at the University of Technology has established and operates the metal inspection system (OTOMC), which analyzes the minerals in the liquid samples, where they identify their presence or not, in addition to their quantity.The unit organized training courses on the use of the device for those interested and its characteristics and what can be drawn from the results.

Chemical Engineering Department at the University of Technology organized a scientific visit for the third stage students to the Central Refineries Company (Doura Refinery) and the General Company for Heavy Engineering Equipment under the supervision of a faculty member in the department Assc.Prof.Dr.Khaled Hamed and Assc.Chemical Senior Wasan Sami.The visit aimed at linking theoretical study with practical application and clarifying some practical applications of chemical engineering in the field of petroleum industries.

On the sidelines of the visit, they went on a survey to the manufacture of heat exchangers and types of heat exchangers workshop such as double pipe, shell and tube with fixed and mobile pipe, as well as an explanation of the work of engineering design department. the president of University of Technology Prof.Dr.Ameed Daowi chaired the session of Secretary of the Department of Computer Science on Thursday, 16-5-2018.The university president reviewed the achievements of the university during the past five years, as well as he emphasis on encouraging the establishment of scientific symposia because of their great role in evaluating the department, and thus in the interest of the university and its reputation. Also he discussed the publication of research in international journals and their positive impact on the improvement of the university's classification at various levels.

The university president emphasized the next acceptance plan for direct applications and the role of the media to attract and encourage students in the process of applying to the scientific and engineering departments in this process, as well as spreading and maintaining the reputation of departments in all aspects. The head of Computer Science Department Assc.Prof.Dr.Hala Bahjat reviewed plans for the department during the next academic year, and the agreement to establish an international conference of the department. She gave a presentation on the achievements made by the department from the introduction of the extension program in the management system and the development of the computer lab.
