Due to the need of the Ministry of Oil for specialized engineering staffs who have an administrative vision, the syllabus committee of oil project management engineering branch was met in the department Council room on Thursday, 21/1/2016.

The meeting included the discussion of the establishment of Oil Projects Management Engineering Branch and the subject of the certificate granted to the applicant and the number of schooling years in this specialty, as it was agreed to grant dual degree which consists of a BSc in Petroleum Engineering and an MSc in petroleum engineering management during the period of (5) years of schooling. They also discussed specifications of the branch graduate and the extent of its agreement with the labor market.

The Committee comprised of a number of specialists of university professors as well as experts from the Ministry of Oil.
