Within the University of Technology basketball championship, the team of petroleum technology department win against the team of Control  and Systems Engineering Department As a result of (8 vs. 6) In the game that brought them together on the playground  of University on Monday 31/10/2011. The players of petroleum department have presented an excellent level who won the admiration of those present A the petroleum department player, Ali Hamid, has scored 4 points,  While the remaining points were distributed among the players Nawar Jassim and Mohammed Abdul Karim by two points each of them, the Team players included the following names:
