In light of freshman year arrivals of 2011-2012 the dean of petroleum technology department (Ass. Prof. Dr. Khalid Ajmi Sukkar) welcomed the students in the conference room on Sunday in the presence of the Scientific Assosicate (Dr. Asawer Abdul Rasul) and Administrative Associate (Dr. Rmazi Sehud Hamid) and the administrative decision ( Mr.Firas khaleel ismeal ).

At the beginning of the meeting the dean welcomed the new students and presented them with detailed explanation about the scientific nature of the department and its engineering branches in addition to the vision and future goals of the department. He also emphasized on the importance of respecting the traditions of the University campus, and the necessity for commitment to attendance, uniforms, hygiene and perseverance, diligence, scientific excellence. This was followed by a question-answer period.

At the end of the meeting the dean wished the new students an academic year filled with success and excellence
