The Petroleum Technology Department participated in the University central celebration, which has been set up in the university gardens to mark the forty-first anniversary of its founding on 13/04/2016 and in the presence of Prof. Dr. Amin Douai Thamer (the University President) and Dr. Alaa Abdul Hassan Attia (Assistant of University President for scientific affairs) and Dr. Sami Abul Noon (Assistant of University President for Administrative Affairs) and heads of the academic departments and research centers and a large gathering of employees and students of the university.

The celebration began with playing the national anthem and recitation from the Holy Quran and read the Fatiha in memory of the martyrs of Iraq and then playing the anthem of the University of Technology. The university president then gave his speech on this occasion, which praised the role of the University of Technology as the institution dealing with all engineering disciplines also gave thanks to all the teaching staff and employees of the university students for their efforts to build the university.

After that the university president has honored the departments with the university shield. For the department of Petroleum of Technology,  Prof. Dr. Mohammed Al-Jawad has received the honored shield  for the distinguish students scientific visits.

Finally, and on this occasion, we congratulate ourselves and our beloved university for the anniversary of its founding, wishing success for all to serve our beloved Iraq.
