Nanotechnology Center at the University
of Technology was founded in 2009 as the
first specialized center in Iraq. The
center aims at consolidating and
developing the scientific concepts of
nanotechnology and their applications in
industrial fields such as (oil and gas
projects, environment, alternative
energies, agriculture and biological
applications). The center works in
collaboration with the productivity and
research institutions through joint
research teams in order to invest the
results of scientific research to serve
the beneficiaries of nanotechnology
techniques. The center includes
sophisticated scientific laboratories in
the field of preparation and
chracterization of Nanomaterials
produced by the center according to
international specifications. It is
worth mentioning that the center holds
several international and local awards
and more than eight scientific patents.
