President of the University of Technology Prof. Dr. Amin Daway
Thamir presided the first meeting of the Nanotechnology and Advanced
Materials Research Center Council for the academic year 2016/2017 on
Sunday 13/11/2016, in the presence of Assist.
Prof. Dr. Khalid A. Sukkar director of the center, Assist.
Prof. Dr. Hisham Salim / Head of Electromechanical
Engineering Dept., Assist. Prof. Dr. Jawad Kadhem / Head of the
Materials Engineering Dept., and Dr. Aliaa H. Abdul-Salam / Head of
the Nanomaterials Dept. in the center, and Azhar J. Bohan / Head of
Bionanotechnology Dept. in the center, and council decider / Ammar
T. Saleh.
President of the University of Technology praised in the scientific
programs which developed by the center and adopted in the
scientific content on delivering projects that support the national
economy programs. On the other hand, he stressed the importance of
the formation of scientific research teams specialized from center's
professors in all fields and specializations of the center for the
purpose of performing important in scientific research and then
evaluate the performance of work in accordance with achievements
data.
On the other hand, Director of the Center/ Assist. Prof. Dr. Khalid
A. Sukkar mentioned that the priority of center program is opening
up to the state institutions and twinning with the global
universities and centers in the field of nanotechnology. Also, he
confirmed to support the center programs to get laboratories
Accreditation with the international standard ISO-17025. So that
the Nanotechnology Research Center developed a plan to consistent
with the University's programs that aimed toward community service.
