Scientific delegation from the Center for Nanotechnology visiting Midland Refineries Company and discuss nanotechnology applications program in oil refineries

Under great expansion of nanotechnology applications in the oil and gas industry, a scientific delegation from the Nanotechnology Research Center have participated headed by director of the center Asst. Prof. Dr. Khalid A. Sukkar and the membership of Dr. Alyaa Hussain Abd Alsalam, and both of the Assisted lecturer Ammar Turky Salih, Essa Daham chaloob, Kadhim Rashid, in the scientific meeting, which was held at the headquarters of Midland refineries company on Monday, 20/06/2016.

The delegation of the university was received   the general manager of Midland Refineries Company Mr. Zaid Kadhem Sharif and the administrative & scientific staff in the company. On the sidelines of the visit it was held an expanded meeting between the two parties in the presence of Mr. Saad Ahmed Abdul Khaleq, director of training department at the company to discuss the subject of spreading the culture of nanotechnology and its applications in oil refineries. For his part, director of the Nanotechnology Center Dr. Khalid said that the importance of this visit comes in under the scientific and technological development witnessed by the world in the field of nanotechnology applications in the industrial sector in general and in the oil sector in particular. Because of what it represents the oil refineries of the economic important of the country it has become important to keep abreast of scientific developments in the field of application of nanotechnology in oil refineries to obtain new materials with superior specifications serve production processes.
