A scientific lecture about SCADA system applications in petroleum pipelines at the University of Technology/Baghdad During the scientific symposium hosted by the Dept. of Electrical Engineering at the University of Technology/Baghdad, the Asst. Prof. Dr. Khalid A. Sukkar/ Head of Bionanotechnology Dept. at the Nanotechnology and Advanced Materials Center presented a scientific lecture entitled (SCADA System for Petroleum Pipelines Monitoring and Control) in 24 March 2016. He showed that the SCADA system gathers information (such as where a leak on a pipeline has occurred), transfers the information back to a central site, then alerts the home station that a leak has occurred, carrying out necessary analysis and control.
