Abstract

Lubricant viscosity is the most important property of Lubricant oils which restricts the life of Lubricant. it is affected by several factors that make its value undesirable and outside the working range. This research studied some of these factors, which they are heating interval and contamination with same contaminants, and their effect on kinematic viscosity at atmospheric pressure through experimental work which was carried out after assembling a test equipment. This equipment allows the contaminants. The important results of this research showed that the kinematic viscosity oil decreases as heating interval increases. Also, it decreases as contamination with some contaminants as the water or oil .
