Abstract:

Every asme ( American society of mechanical engineering ) reveal their yearly competition for all engineering colleges around the world, and it is always abous an important scientifics goals.

For the year 2011, asme has chosen an important subject and that is the clean energy and specially the energy from the raining water, because this kind of energy was not studied enough and for the impotence of such kind of energy .

Under the name H2GO, asme revealed their competition for 2011 and it was about using one liter of water at one meter height and transforming it through a device with specific dimension into mechanical energy to be used into moving small car with  specific  dimension and weight .

There fore the  work has been made through many stages by using system design methodology

1.              The manufacturing of the device that can transfer the energy , and there was many ideas about that device the following  we choose peltom wheel and The manufacturing of the wheel goes through the following stages  :

·         Some testes to find a specification that we can use into the designing part like the thrust and the momentum of water, ….ets

·         The designing of the wheel and the nozzle,  calculating  the efficiencies and finding the right dimension of the wheel and the nozzle .

·         The manufacturing of the nozzle and pelto wheel

2.        The design and manufacturing of the proper tank work with the specific ations  of

asme containing  the car , the wheel , and the water after been used

3.         The design and manufacturing of transporting energy device from the turbine to

the car and that included two parts .

·         Gear box to increase the torque from the turbine

·         A device that can transport the parts  to the car, and at  the same time can work as a clutching system to separate the car from the device and at  it go automatically as the specifications of asme state

4.                  A system to save the energy inside the car while the water is  flowing

5.                  Moving mechanism that can transfer the saved energy inside the car in to movement that lets the car to  move away from the device after water is addition  done

The car we manufactured has moved  distance of  6.5 meter, achieving what many other college failed in to . this year we couldn’t participate  in this competition but this project can be considered as the first step to the University of Technology to compete in such competition.
