Dr. Maha Abdel Karim Hammoud gave a scientific lecture on the requirements for Accreditation of Engineering and Technology ABET provided by the International Research and Exchanges IREX Council within SGP according to the workshop that she participated in Erbil, the lecture were on Wednesday, 25/03/2015 at ten o'clock in the morning and on Hall (Dr. Emad Kazem Jabbar), Where Dr. Maha showed that the most important of these requirements are:

Need to contain the curricula on topics of engineering.
Commitment to business ethics.
The ability to communicate effectively particularly with the graduates.
Continuous improvement of the curriculum.
Interest in the library and laboratories.
Institutional support.

The most important proposals that were made were as follows:

Adoption of these standards.
Workshops, courses and sending abroad for the purpose of continuous development and improvement.
Give the powers to the quality committees.
