Computer Sciences Department

Department of Computer Sciences, headed by Assistant Professor Dr. Hala Bahgat Abdel Wahab Head of Department of Computer Science and scientific and administrative assistants, and a number of heads and members of committees quality in the department participated in the workshop made by the department of quality and performance in the university to ensure cooperation with the ABET Group in the Department of Production and minerals Engineering / Engineering Industrial Branch.

This wprkshop was held under the title "self-study report, challenges and constraints" on Monday 29/06/2015 at the Department of Control and Systems Engineering in the presence of Prof. Dr. Amin Douai Thamer presedent of the University of Technology and all of Dr. Wesam Kadhum Hamdan and Dr. Sami Abu Noon Ajil assistant rector of scientific and administrative affairs and a number of heads of departments and heads of quality section in the University of Technology.

The workshop held to discuss the major challenges and obstacles faced by committees quality in university departments in the writing of the self-study report according to the Accreditation Council for programs of engineering and technological ABET criteria and possible solutions through discussion between the audience and through a lecture delivered by Dr. Mehdi Monshed Shalal/ Head of quality and performance section of University of Technology.

The most highlighted recommendations that came out from this workshop is to determine a timetable for the submission of self-assessment report according to ABET standards, and raise the obstacles faced by each department to be put up in the University Council and the formation of small quality Council in each department headed by head of the department and an official Quality Division and members of the committees quality in that department.
