A Teacher from the Department published a research on the use of Cuckoo Search in medical diagnosis

- A Teacher in the Department of Computer Sciences Prof. Dr. Ahmed Tariq Sadiq participated in research at the "4th International Conference on Advanced Computer Science Applications and Technologies" held in the Malaysian Capital - Kuala Lumpur for the period of 8-10 of the month of December of this current year 2015.

The research came under the title: "Cuckoo Search-Based Bayesian Networks for Medical Estimation System". The research implies the design and implementation of a medical diagnosis of some heart disease and diseases of the nervous system. The proposed medical diagnosis system is a combination between networks (Bayes) and cuckoo search algorithm (Cuckoo Search), which is one of the optimal algorithms. It takes into consideration the medical symptoms and medical history and the results of laboratory analysis of the patient and inserted into the proposed system. 5 heart disease and 5 concerning diseases were diagnosed of the nervous system of the human being and the system has achieved a success rate of up to about (99.8%) of all the mentioned diseases, and therefore is better than existing models, which were compared with the research.
