Scientific visit to the electro plating
workshop |

The
Msc students of extraction materials branch have
visited a private engineering workshop that belong to engineer Alaa Falah Hamood
(one alumni of Production Engineering and Metallurgy department )to see the
chemical process to recycle gold from industrial waste. This
visit has been in the detailed explanation of the process of restoration in
addition to explaining the practical operations of the metal coating with
copper, nickel, Albrs as well as the cleaning
process and raw materials cutting for preparation of chemical extraction in addition to explain
the practical sequence for recycling gold from coating materials.
Students
by Prof. Dr. Sami Ibrahim al-Rubaie has accompanied
students in this scientific visit and it was covered by the
Information Committee in the Department of Production and Metallurgical
Engineering engineer by Asaad Hassan Zamili and after this visit, Mr. head of the department assist.prof. Dr Ahmed Ali Akbar
sent a thanks letter to the Engineer Alaa for his
outstanding efforts and efforts in explain the practical aspects of the
experiences for Msc students in extraction

A charity and humanitarian work, we can help was
begun to help people who leave their home because of ISIS terrorism. The idea
of this work began by the department student Mortadh
Naje (student in department of production
engineering and metallurgy) and then spread to all university departments. Facebook page was established, namely" campaign of we can help "the number of helpers were expanded to include many people from different parts of Iraq and many families from outside of Iraq who gave clothes , food and medicals materials. This humanitarian campaign was begun in September 2014 and continues until now.

Symposium was held in The
Production engineering and metallurgy department , namely The Role of Heat Treatment to
increase the efficiency of engineering industries. The president of
university Prof.Dr. Amin Daway
Thamir with his assistants have
attended this symposium in addition to some VIP people. The university
president has introduced his paper about the role of heat treatment to
improve the industries and the he thanked staff who arrange this
symposium after that the president of
production engineering and metallurgy department introduced his paper about
the role of his department to develop
industries by scientific researches and engineering consultations.
The symposium included two sessions, the first one was preform by Prof. Dr. Sami Ibrahim al-Rubaie and Assist Prof. Dr.Israa
Abdel Kader and many working papers were introduced from
Metallurgy
Engineering Branch, AL-smood company and the Ministry of Science and Technology.
At the end of symposium, Appreciate
certificates were spread to all
Participants
and some
audience.

and then he thank
all staff who help to arrange this symposium after that the
president of production engineering and metallurgy department Assist Prof.

paper about that the pollution threat
all organisms in the earth. The president of industrial branch, assist, Prof.
Dr. Swsan Sabeh has
introduced his paper about necessary needs
to take care about environment by real study to find
environmental friendly industries and
she also explain that the developed countries take them attention to this
issue.

on Monday, 30/2015/3, The scientific trip was held by The
Industrial Engineering Branch on to Baghdad Company for soft drinks for the
fourth class and higher study students in the branch to see the production processes. The branch
staff have campaign themAssist Prof.Dr.. Sawsan Sabieh,Prof. Dr..lemyae Mohammed Dawood ,Assist Prof. Dr. May George, Assist Prof.Dr.Mahmoud Abbas, Lect.Dr lmy Adnan, Assist Lect..magdh Khaled, Assist Lect.. Batool Ibrahim, Assist Lect Rasha Jabbar Mrzuk.
The
trip has achieve its goals where, The students have saw the production lines
and also saw the new Automated
production lines in addition to see the inspection process and quality
control processes.
