First Meeting of The Scientific Committee:

The Scientific Committee of the 2nd International Conference on Petroleum Technology and Petrochemical -2021 held (virtually using Google Meet) its first meeting on Wednesday 11/11/2020 under the chairmanship of Prof. Dr. Hayder Abed Dhahad, Vice chancellor for scientific and postgraduate affairs and in the presence of a number of committee members. The committee discussed a set of issues related to the conference, including the coding of the received papers and the method of evaluating and following up them. The committee also discussed choosing the scientific journal that will publish the accepted papers and allocating sufficient funds for it, as the committee agreed that enrolment and publication will be free for all participating researchers.

 

-          - Abstract and full paper submittion is open now. Please go to the “call for papers” and submit your abstract or paper. Date of submition is valid until 31/1/2021.

-          - All accepted papers will be published free of charge in AIP Conference Series: Materials Science and Engineering.

First Organizing Committee Meeting:
The Organizing Committee for the 2nd International Conference on Petroleum Technology and Petrochemicals held a meeting chaired by the Chairman of the Organizing Committee, Asst. Prof. Dr. Fadhil Sarhan Kadhim, on Sunday 11/15/2020 in the department council hall, in the presence of a number of members of the Organizing Committee. This meeting included discussion of approaching relevant companies, governmental and private institutions to support and participate in the conference, as well as preparing for providing the logistical support needed by the conference.

 

 

A Visit to the Midland Refineries Company MRC / Daura Refineries:


This morning, November 18, 2020, a delegation from the Organizing Committee of the 2nd International Conference on Petroleum Technology and Petrochemicals visited the Midland Refineries Company MRC / Daura Refineries headed by the Administrative Deputy (Dr. Ramzi Sihoud) and the Director of the Quality Division (Dr. Anwar Nadhim) and the Director of the Graduate Studies Division (Lect. Muhammad Ghazi Khaled) where they met with the Director of the Environment Department at Daura Refinery, Dr. Haider Hassan, and the delegation presented the issue of the MRC contribution in supporting the conference, and the delegation also met with the Director of Training and Development in the Oil Pipeline company, in addition to their visit to the Oil Products Distribution Company. The delegation obtained a promise from officials of the MRC for generous support and active participation in the conference.
