Lecturer Gain Patent

Asst.Prof.Dr.Khald Ajmi, a lecturer at Chemical Engineering Department, gained a patent titled "Treatment of Industrial Water by Using Nano Technology" in cooperation with a working team form Ministry of Oil. The patent dealt with purification of contaminated water from operational units in oil refineries and re-use by treating it with special nano materials to get rid of organic pollutants and heavy metals with high purity. This patent was accomplished through mutual cooperation between the lecturers from UOT and researchers from Oil Ministry, the research team from Oil Ministry includes the expert Kareem Thameer, chief chemists Lamyaa Jalel, and senior chemists Hassan Noori, Dr.senior cheif chemists Sabah Jasim.
