Chemical Engineering Department at the University of Technology held electronic seminars for high-study /Phd. students on Wednesday and 19/ 8/2020 to discuss their researches; in the presence of the supervising professors of their researches. Each student has been allocated 20 minutes (10 min for presentation and 10 min discussion) ; which it held on FCC platform.

Prof. Dr. Alaa Kazem Farhan from Computer Science Department at UOT has published two papers in the international scientific magazine that is classified within the Clarfit database and at the first quarter level (q1) and has a high impact efficient (IF) as this magazine is one of the world’s sober journals that does not accept only original scientific research.
The first research is titled "New improvement with active expansion to improve MD5 function to verify secure electronic document", whose idea is to enhance the MD5 algorithm by adding dynamic variable length and high efficiency simulates the highest levels of security available while using the logistic system for coding DNA (RNA) by creating a random array based on a new key that was created using different techniques.
While the second research entitled "Improving the ability of the QR code by means of encrypted compression technology without losing data from the secure electronic document", in which the proposed algorithm includes a clear and simple plan to overcome this difficulty by entering confidential information in the message of the QR code. By adding levels that help to share secure messages of different sizes and authenticate documents for verification and validation.

The lecturer, Dr. Ahmed Luai Ahmed - Chairman of the E-Learning Committee - in the Architecture Engineering Department at the University of Technology, obtained an international certificate in e-learning after passing the Training Course (TOT) in excellent degree which was established by the American IREX Organization in cooperation with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the Ministerial Team for E-learning.
The certificate is characterized by distinctive standards. It has fulfilled the requirements of e-learning because of its high efficiency in how e-learning is managed.
the course lasted for two months, in which more than a thousand trainees from (79) governmental and private universities and colleges all over Iraq participated, as the course included lectures about (concepts and methods of education, Google's G Suite for education package, and video conference platforms / services sharing for Education contact).

The President of UOT, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Muhammad Hassan Al-Ghabban and the President Deputy of Scientific Affairs, Assist. Prof. Dr. Haider Abed Dahd, on Tuesday 25/8/2020, inspected the comprehensive examination for students of Al-Rafdin University College / of Pathological Analysis Techniques Department, who were accepted according to the instructions before admission; their exam was held in the Computer Science Department at the University by giving them a comprehensive electronic exam. While the written exam for the 12 students admitted under special instructions, their exam took place at the Environmental Research Center in the presence of the head of the Ministerial Committee that deals with cases of students admitted outside the instructions, Prof. Dr. Riyadh Al-Anbari for the exams.
Al-Ghabban praised the work of the Ministerial Committee for their keenness in following up and evaluating the exams and how to properly complete them, appreciating all the distinguished efforts made by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in serving students.

The President of the University of Technology, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Mohamed Hassan Al-Ghabban, participated in a seminar on sustainable development in education between reality and ambition on Thursday 27/8/2020 through the special electronic platform for distance training, which was organized by the Innovation Dome for Consulting and Training in the presence of a number of researchers and consultants from various Arab countries.
The symposium aimed at developing the student’s capabilities, obtaining knowledge, enhancing his skills using modern technology, focusing on raising the level of educational facilities and activating the spirit of cooperation and the importance of adding electronic administrative systems as a tool for controlling educational institutions, which has become necessary to be present in order to deliver education in an easier way and increase the skills of students as well as it contains For everything the teaching, student, and those responsible for managing the educational institution need.
Participants in the symposium, including a group of Iraqi academics, agreed on basic points, the most important of which is that because of the Corona pandemic, the need to develop methods for distance education has become more and more important. However, the need for traditional education does not prevent e-learning from being included with it on the basis of continuous use, regardless of the implications of the current circumstances.
