Lecturer from Materials Engineering Department participates as a Keynote speaker at the 2nd International Conference
Lecturer from the Department of Materials Engineering at the University of Technology Ali H. Atiwi participated at the Second International Conference of Materials Engineering and scince( IConMEAS).
As a Keynote speaker and his research was specialized in Ferrous Alloys and his researches of it, he participated in the research entitled:
"Mechanical Properties of 27Cr- White Cast Iron subjected to Sub-Zero Heat Treatments"
It included the use of conventional heat treatments (hardening and revising) and martensitic revision coefficients using saline solutions at 350 o C, after which the samples were subjected to a sub-zero temperature (liquid nitrogen temperature). Shock, hardness and erosion resistance were studied. It concloded the use of subzero coefficients increases the mechanical properties, especially erosion resistance.

Lecturers from Laser Department published a scientific research in optical and Quantum Electronics magazine
Lecturers from Laser and Optoelectronics Engineering Department at the University of Technology, assist.Prof.Dr. Ayad Z. Mohammed, assist.Prof.Dr Mohammed G. Abdul Razzaq ,Lec. Khaled S. Shabib and assist.Prof.Dr. Abdullah K. Abbas Research tagged (A new approach to evaluate temperature distribution and stress fracture within solid state lasers) in (optical and Quantum Electronics) magazine which is issued by the Cernaker Foundation and is based within the Clafette base with high impact factor.
The research dealt with finding a new method to calculate the maximum permissible pumping power before fracture or failure in solid state lasers based on a new thermal mathematical model and two dimensions, which allows construction, design and manufacture of solid state lasers with advanced specifications.

A lecturer of laser engineering publishes scientific research in a journal globally
Published in the Department of Laser Engineering and Optoelectronics at the University of Technology.
Lec.Khaled Salem Shabib and in partnership with the student Duha Shaker Abed scientific research entitled (Finding optical specifications for tissue using the inverse method of heat transfer) And with high impact coefficient.
The research dealt with finding the optical characteristics of the tissues using the inverse method of heat transfer, which makes it possible to know the laser behavior when interfering with the tissues.

A lecturer from the Department of Laser Engineering gets a patent for the optical control element
Lecturer from the Department of Laser Engineering and Optoelectronics at the University of Technology Prof. Iyad Zuwain Mohammed and in partnership with Waddah Hatem Salem of the Ministry of Science and Technology patents entitled (passive optical control programmed for protection and monitoring systems)
The patent included the construction of a model that demonstrates the idea of laser fence systems in a simple way, which is the visual communication between the detection and the computer. The optical communication is a new idea for this project in order to reduce the cost required and to increase the speed of communication. Visual protection and surveillance of places of special interest and mission and high accuracy and around the clock and various difficult weather conditions and remote areas.

(Teachers from the University of Technology publish research in the magazine (optical materials
Prof. Iyad Zuwain Mohammed, Mohamed Galal Abdel Razzaq and lec. Khaled Salem Shabib participated in a scientific research entitled (Efficient optical fiber sensor for measuring Fe element in liquid) ) In the magazine (optical materials) issued by the Ambassador Foundation (ELSEVIER) and indexed within the Clafit base and high impact factor.
The research dealt with the construction of a precision sensor to detect iron ions in different concentrations in liquids using optical technology with very efficient optical fibers and distinct sensitivity limits, thus allowing for the construction of new optical sensors.

A lecturer from Laser Department published a scientific research in magazine (Defect and Diffusion Forum)
A lecturer from Laser and Optoelectronics Engineering Department at the University of Technology, assist.Prof. Dr. Ayad Z. Mohammed the Head of the Department published a scientific research entitled "Study Optical and Structure Properties of Nano ZnO/Cu₂O Mixture Prepared by Pulsed Laser Deposition for Application" in (Defect and Diffusion Forum) magazine, that index within SCOPS with high impact factors.
