A lecturer from the department of Electrical Engineering publishes research in an international journal
Dr. Raed Thaaban Hamad from the Department of Electrical Engineering at the University of Technology published a shared research with graduate student Zainab Mohammed Abdul-Jabbar in the field of microwave engineering(Within the applications of two-band communications systems) in the Global Journal Electromagnetic Published in the United States of America by the publisher(Taylor & Francis) ,It is one of the world's highest quality magazines with an influence factor (0.5) according to the world ranking Clarivate Analytics (The Former Thomson Reuters).
The research includes the design and implementation of a new two-band mini-band rejection filter circuit using a multi-layer, bearing for use in dual-band wireless systems.

A lecturer from material engineering publishes a search for the effect of the density of the fill on the compression property
Lecturer from Material Engineering at the University of Technology, lect.Hind. Bassel Ali, published a scientific research entitled "The Effect of Density on Compression Properties in Melting Deposition Modeling" in the International Scientific Journal of Engineering Research and Applications in India No. 7 Volume 10, Part II.
The study examined the effect of the fill density of the samples made by molten deposition process. One of the three-dimensional printing techniques on the compressive properties is shown in increasing the density of the fill, which is one of the variables of the molten precipitation modeling process, which increases the compression properties and also increases the time required for sampling.

Two professors of materials engineering are publishing a study on the impact of glass waste on their mechanical properties in green concrete
The two professors in Materials Engineering at the University of Technology, Assist. Prof. Dr Asseel Bassem Abdel Hussein and Assist. Prof. Dr. Kazem Matar Shabib, published a joint scientific paper entitled "Study of the Effect of Glass Waste on the Mechanical Properties of Green Concrete" in Science Direct, Global Elesiver number 119 page (680-692) for the year 2017.
The study examined the recycling of glass waste of various industrial types after preparation, grinding and partial replacement of concrete with different concentrations and different periods. Mechanical tests showed compression results and a strong strength of 13% concentration. Recycling glass wastes reduces carbon dioxide and produces environmentally friendly materials. The Department of Chemical Engineering holds a scientific symposium about Ph. D. study.
