Scientific Visit to Refinery Company

Scientific team from chemical engineering department\UOT visited the mid-refinery company on Wednesday Nov.,1st ,2017 to activate the Memorandum of Understanding between the two sides.
Asst.Prof.Dr. Jamal Al-Rubie, head of chemical engineering department, said that the visit is to discuss many scientific and academic topics and to activate the understanding memorandum singed between the department and the company which involved in the joint cooperation and establishing a program for training the graduated students.
The scientific team includes Asst.Prof.Dr. Jamal Al-Rubie, head of chemical engineering department, Asst.Prof.Dr. Khalid Ajmi, the scientific assistance, Asst.Prof.Dr. Talib Naef, head of chemical engineering and oil refining branch, Asst.Prof.Dr. Riyad Sadiq, head of chemical operations engineering branch and number of specialists.

Architecture Engineering Department organizes lecture on strengthening advanced presentation

The Department of Architecture at the University of Technology organized a lecture on strengthening the advanced presentation using the Photoshop program for students of the department by Dr. Bashar Shamil. The lecture will continue for two weeks according to a program prepared by the department for the purpose of developing progressive presentation skills for students.

Mechanical Engineering Department participate in Jordanian Fair

Tow faculty members from Mechanical Engineering Department at the University of Technology. Dr.. Arkan Khilkhal Hussien, Head of Aircraft Engineering branch, and Dr.. Nebras Mohammad Mahdi participated in the first Jordanian universities fair in Iraq, held in Baghdad.
The fair included holding several meetings with the Jordanian universities of joint sspecialization and reaching a common understanding with the Royal Jordanian Aviation Academy about scientific and academic cooperation, exchange of experiences, consultations and scientific researches to serve both parties.
The ambassador of the Jordanian kingdom, the Royal Jordanian Aviation Academy, Middle East University and Amman Privet University has honored the department of mechanical engineering with fair shield.

Department of laser engineering and optical electronics issues the thirteenth issue of the electronic newsletter

The Department of Laser and Optical Electronics at the University of Technology has issued the thirteenth issue of the electronic newsletter, which includes all the activities of the department with a semester in terms of administrative and scientific activities contributed by all employees in the department.
The e-newsletter featured all the scientific and humanitarian lectures contributed by the department's lecturer within the scientific and social activities as well as the researches published during this period in accredited scientific journals with the coefficient of the and the prizes obtained by the department in the external participations.

Joint Scientific Cooperation

Embodying the slogan that the UOT has raised "the producing university", the department of production and Minerals held a series of meetings with the Mining Industries Company in the Ministry of Industry and Minerals. During the meeting, training courses were discussed to be held for the company's staff in the department, and providing training opportunities for university students and cooperation in the field of using laboratories for both parties as well.
Number of specialists in the field of mining industries attended the meeting, in which they discussed thejoint scientific cooperation as well as the exchange of laboratory experiences between the production department and metallurgical industries company in order to develop the practical aspect of the students of the department and the university.

The Department of Electrical Engineering Holds a Workshop on Laboratory Quality Procedural Methods

Within the series of scientific activities, the Department of Electrical Engineering at the University of Technology held a workshop entitled "Quality of Laboratory / Procedural Methods" on Tuesday 24/10/2017 at the Degla Hall in the Department in the both Scientific and administrative deputy . Assist. Prof.Dr Abbas Hussein and. Assist. Prof.Dr Kanaan Ali and Scientific branches and a number of professors and members of the department.
The lecture was delivered by. Assist. Prof.Dr. Ali Karim Nahr. The workshop addressed the supervisors and the staff working in the laboratories of the department on the form of quality classification of the educational laboratories and the guide for the form and how to write the procedural procedures according to GLP standards.

A lecturer of Biomedical Engineering publishes scientific research

Published the lecturer in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at the University of Technology. Assist. Prof.Dr Jinan Star Khashan Scientific research on:
Development of polymer-based nonmaterial's used to repair and replace natural bone - radiological study Modified polymer matrix nano Biocomposite for bone and Replacement - Radiological study "In the Journal of Engineering and Technology.
The study examined the evolution of the proposed material when cultured in animal model and follow up with radiological development. The results showed the effectiveness of the material for medical application, as there was no inflammation at the same time as construction with natural bone in the transplant area.

Instructor from the Media Department publishes a book in an Arabic publishing house

The Lecture Ibtisam Sami Hameed from the Department of Media and Public Relations at the University of Technology book entitled:
"The Parliamentary Role of Women" at Dar Al Arabi Publishing House in Cairo.
The book sheds light on the competition for parliamentary positions. Women have managed to form a point of balance and support for the political situation, and by entering Parliament and making it face to face with the problems and entitlement of women to claim their rights.
The fourth chapter includes the theoretical and historical framework. The third chapter deals with the historical and legal framework for the role of women in parliament. The fourth chapter includes the legislative and legislative role of women in parliament.

The researcher concluded that the low efficiency of photovoltaic (PV) units due to the increase in cell temperature occurs when a small part of the absorbed solar radiation is converted into electricity and the remaining part is lost as heat.
A range of fluid nanomaterials have been added to increase the thermal conductivity of these fluids, which are used to cool PV cells, which have become the subject of much research.
In this study, three nanomaterials were added to the water as a base fluid with multiple volume ratios to determine the best type and concentration of nanoparticles suitable for this application.

The University of Technology holds annual festival of Al- Taf under the slogan "With the blood of Hussein we win

Under the slogan (with the blood of Hussein we win), The University of Technology held the fifth annual Al- Taf Festival in the presence of the President of the University of Technology Dr. Amin Douai Thamer and the Administrative Assistant, Prof. Sami Abu Al-Nun Ajil and the scientific Assistant, Prof. Dr. Alaa Abdul-Hassan Attieh and a number of Sheokh representatives of the holy shrines, scientific Hawza, heads of scientific and engineering departments, employees of the university and its students.
The President of the University delivered a speech in which he spoke about the revolution of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) and its greatness, which tells about his historical personality and biography and the story of his martyrdom, which gives us a moral boost to follow his approach and follow him.
He pointed out that the University has always hold this annual festival in honor of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him), who gave the Islamic nation a great model that challenges all countries of the world.
His Eminence Mr. Adnan al-Moussawi, representative of Al attaba Al- Abbasia, said during a lecture at the festival:
The Taf Festival, held annually by the University of Technology, is a wonderful step to introduce our young men and women to the renaissance of Imam Hussein(( peace be upon him)) remembering his martyrdom
The festival also included a student Husseini march, which was organized by the students of the University of Technology, which ended with the raising of the flag of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) within the University of Technology
The festival also witnessed the delivery of religious poems and poems following the Al-Tuf incident.
