English language center announces translating written texts

As part of its activities for the new academic year 2017-2018, the English Language Center at the University of Technology announces the availability of its capabilities to translate written texts from English to Arabic and vice versa.
Dr.Muna Sweer said that the center provide many possibilities in translating various texts such as research abstract for postgraduate studies and teaching staff , external communications, contracts and declarations, indicating that the center is waiting the official accreditation from the Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the allocation of a stamp adopted by the Center.

The Department of Electromechanical Engineering holds a lecture on the role of graduates

The Department of Electromechanical Engineering at the University of Technology held an introductory lecture on the role of graduates and students who continue studying in the process of qualification and employment.
The lecture included directing the students to follow the unit's directives for the purpose of developing their skills on the practical side, in order to include them in the labor market. The instructions also included registering in the IREX database according to the recommendations of the Rector's academic assistant, as well as explaining the future plans of the unit for the purpose of rehabilitation Training and accommodation.
The lecture was delivered by the head of the graduate follow-up unit in the department of Dr. Mohammed Jawad Mohammed.

University of technology host the annual exhibition "Handbook" of The Ministry of Education

University of technology hosts the annual fair (Handbook) fourteen session 2017 which is assess by Ministry of Education- Directorate General of Curricula- school libraries section on the central library hall in the UOT from 24-30/10/2017 with the attendance of many academic and educational figures.
Prof.Dr. Ameen Dawi Thamer, the president of university of technology, said that assessing a fair is a scientific and educational phenomenon that helps to give school managers a chance in the general directorates to acquire the books that accompany the practical side in addition to the theoretical and in all fields, in addition to enriching the school library and its role to promote the scientific and educational level of the student.
It is worth mentioning, that the book fair included many different sources of scientific, arts , cultural issued by the Arabic and international publishing stores.

Acknowledgments to a lecturer in communications engineering

Springer published Acknowledgments for the assistant Professor Zeinab Nasser Jameel in the Department of Communication Engineering at the University of Technology in appreciation of its outstanding efforts in presenting its scientific views of the candidate's research. Acknowledgments came after evaluating multiple research in the Journal of Nanoparticles Research
Dr. Zeinab is a scientific resident of the Springer publishing house, whose journals are distinguished by scientific excellence and have a high impact factor.

Dissertation of Materials Engineering at the Technological University, Prof.Dr.Akram Rahim Gabr,prof.Dr. Fadel Geyad Attia and Eng. Hussain Ali Alwan, published a joint scientific paper entitled Effect of Caravine Addition on Electrical Transmission Relays on Electrical Conductivity and Durability Properties in the Journal of the Elsevier Publishing House, No. 119 of 2017.
The study discussed the importance of recycle used and damaged waste from the aluminum wires which are used in the lines of transmission of electric power (high pressure lines), which are hundreds of tons in the warehouses of the Ministry of Electricity and re-operation of these wires by adding the caravans and improve their specifications in terms of electrical conductivity and mechanical pull durability to obtain higher specifications Of the standard specifications.

Nanotechnology holds a seminar on nanoscience

The Nanotechnology and Advanced Materials Research Center at the University of Technology has organized a specialized seminar on nanoscience.
The lecture was delivered by Assistant lecture Majid Mohammed, who addressed the subject of the interconnect of micro-materials with nanoscience, and the most important modern applications, including Nano Patch and the technology of manufacturing, as well as the applications of energy in the manufacture of the most important sources of energy to use instead of oil and its derivatives.

The Ministry of Planning / Central Agency for Standardization and Quality Control granted a patent to the Director of the Center for Energy and Renewable Energy at the University of Technology, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Abdul Amir Al Ameri for the manufacture of environmentally friendly paint derived from, with the participation of the research team composed by Prof. Dr. Abdel Hadi Kazem. Prof. Dr. Ayad Zouen Mohammed from the Department of Laser Engineering and Electronic Optics and Assist. lect. Talib Kamel Abd from the Center for Environmental Biodiversity and Prof. Dr Emad Abdul Hussein from the University of Nahrain.
Al Ameri said:
"The invention provided includes the manufacture of an environmentally friendly paint derived from dehydrator, which has the ability to inhibit the corrosion of soft steel in a single solution molar of hydrochloric acid. The results showed that enhanced inhibition efficiency was achieved with an increase in the concentration of coatings manufactured and used as an anti-corrosion material and low efficiency with high temperatures. The value of inhibition efficiency reaches 92% in the highest user concentration of new and environmentally friendly coatings. The new coating consists of an environmentally friendly dehydrator and a polar solvent.
