Control Engineering holds seminars for two of the department's professors

The Department of Control and Systems Engineering at the University of Technology held seminars on the discussion room in the department within the weekly activity of the department. The first lecture was given by Dr. Lama Issa on her research titled: Neural mechanism of visual perception using the on-site representation and event.
In the research, the study showed that the brain analyzes kinetic information through a hierarchical structure composed of several visual images which interact in two-way communication. Visual information is analyzed from the lower towards the upper areas of the brain. Based on that a visual model was proposed to detect movement and integration according to human biology. The frontal feeding reactions and reactions were included. In the proposed model, two main characteristics were considered In the regions of the brain (selective direction) and (selectivity of speed), this model highlights how visual cortical regions interact with each other based on the different representations involved, the sensor is exploited by the neural vision (silicon retina) By an event sensor that is sensitive to time changes in luminance, the sensor simulates the neural vision of the shape and function of generating optical signals for the biological retina that differs from a frame-based sensor that generates integrated luminance functions.
The second lecture was taught by Dr. Yamamah Abdel Fattah for her research titled: Implementation of foggy logic in control systems.
The course discussed the definition of logic and its applications, especially in the field of control. The stages of design of the types of control of the foggy logic similar to the proportional differential control were described through the laws of the fuzzy controls and the functions of the membership in terms of number, location, .
The stability of the system and review of the most important software tools available to the dominant design and methods of implementation were evaluated.

Instructors from the Department of Mechanical Engineering have published a book on learning the Autocad program for beginners

A group of teachers from the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Technology, Assist. Prof.Dr.Laith Jafar Habib, Dr. Nabil Samir Mahmoud, Dr. Ganan Mahdi Hadi have published a book entitled "Learning the Autocad 2014 for Beginners" at NOOR Publishing
The focus of the book is on computer aided design systems which is similar to learning a new language. It is necessary to start with basic scripts and learn how to use them correctly and efficiently during practice. This requires learning some basics and skills as well as learning grammar and word meanings.
Most mechanical design systems have the ability to create three-dimensional models. However, all computer aided design systems originate designs using basic engineering entities, and many of the structures used in the technical designs are based on 2D geometric shapes. The method and number of steps required to accomplish a simple level of installation vary from system to system. In order to become an efficient and effective learner in the use of computer aided design system in the learning to create engineering entities quickly and accurately. One of the basics of learning computer aided design systems is the straight and curved line of one of the most engineering entities that support its creation and modification, which are used in most designs.
